Each season has something unique and special that makes us eagerly wait for it - one of the most exciting things about fall are its scents and flavours and pumpkin is perhaps the first thing in your head when you think about autumn.

Pumpkin is not only delicious, but you can also create many original things with it. At Great Harvest in Tulsa, we want you to make the most of this squash plant. That’s why we created this post on making great pumpkin bowls that you can use for a special occasion.

Pumpkin

Try to choose round medium-sized pumpkins for your bowls and mini pumpkins if you are using them to serve drinks. Wash them thoroughly and allow them dry. You can preheat your oven to 350 F in the meantime.

Cut

Remove the tops of the pumpkins and save them for later, they can be used as lids. Use a spoon to scoop out seeds and meat, and save them for later. Just remember to be careful not to pierce the shell.

Warmness

Place your pumpkins and their lids on a baking tray and put them in the oven, and let them bake for 25 - 30 minutes. Use a fork to test whether the flesh is tender. Allow the pumpkins to cool off for a few minutes before you serve the soup.

These simple ideas can help you create wonderful pumpkin bowls that children and adults will enjoy, and that will make that special dinner even more memorable.  Don’t forget to read this post containing some of the soups you can’t miss this fall.

Pumpkins are everywhere during autumn, and at Great Harvest we didn’t forget about it. That’s why we prepared an amazing pumpkin swirl, which is prepared with our fresh whole grain flour, real pumpkin and pumpkin pie spice. That’s only one of the delicious things you will find waiting for you in store. Think about us next time you are looking for the healthiest bread in Tulsa.
