 Carrots are very beneficial to your and your kid’s health: they contain lots of fiber, they aid your digestive system, they strengthen your nails and hair, among many other things. However, if you aren’t a fan of the taste but would still like to enjoy the benefits, a delicious carrot puree can be the answer. This is why, in this post, Great Harvest in Tulsa will share a recipe so you can prepare your own tasty and nutritious carrot puree. 

How to Prepare Carrot Puree

Ingredients

4 big carrots
1 garlic clove
½ red onion
WaterSalt and pepper (to your liking)

Instructions

First, finely dice the onion and garlic, place them in a large saucepan (layered with a bit of vegetable oil) and set the stove to a high intensity. 
Leave it there for a couple of minutes and lower the intensity to a medium heat. 
Afterwards, add the carrot into the saucepan (chopped into medium chunks) and let it fry for about 5 minutes.
Pour enough water into the pan until it completely covers the carrots. Let the carrots soften a bit by letting them sit to a low intensity heat for 10-15 minutes.
Once this is done, take the contents from the pan and pour them into a blender. Beat them up until it has the desired thickness and consistency. 
Lastly, add salt and pepper to your liking. All you have to do now is serve the puree and enjoy it.
